gratis licences

We can offer a fixed term licence to non commercial film makers who wish to use music we represent. These licences are valid for one year for all non commercial media only i.e. film festivals. 

All licences are at the discretion of the labels, artists and writers concerned and permission must be obtained via us before the use goes ahead whether commercial or not. 

Please allow plenty of time for these request to be processed. We will endeavour to process them within 4 weeks of receipt but when artists are away and when things are particularly busy it can take longer to process them. Please bear with us once we have received your request.

 

How do I get a gratis film festival licence?

1. Download and complete the form to the left and return to us via email to gratis @ woodworkmusic.co.uk with the date you need the permission to be processed by. We will endeavour to meet this deadline whenever possible but the earlier we have your request the better. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks.

2. We will contact the writer(s) and label(s) who own the recordings and publishing of the tracks. Both writer/ publishers and record label/ artist need to okay the usage for it to go ahead. When they have got back to us with their response we will get in touch and forward 2 copies of our standard licence for you to sign if you are successful. You must then sign and return one copy to us and you're done!

NB Please note that we may NOT be able to clear the master and the publishing for you. We will try to let you know as soon as we receive your request which rights we represent but please do your homework as much as you can and send your request to both the label and the publisher.
