Afro jazz, krautrock, rockabilly, hip hop and funk all bubble in their dub melting pot.
Red Snapper have been making quality beats and future jazz since 1994 and have supported the likes of Bjork and Massive Attack along the way. They have real pedigree in visual licencing, previous productions have been used on numerous Adverts (inc. Ford and Nokia), Feature Films (inc This Is England, Dead Man's Shoes, Femme Nikita) and TV (CSI, Dawson's Creek, Judging Amy).
After a break of several years they return refreshed from the outer reaches to bring you six brand new tracks and once again they are a rocking 3 piece with firing saxophone. And once again it’s impossible to define the sound they make…afro jazz, krautrock, rockabilly, hip hop and funk all bubble in their dub melting pot. “Brickred” is a real standout track, an unbelievable instrumental blending guitar riffs reminiscent of early ‘Cure’ outings with clarinet hooks, creating a driving force that builds and builds till it takes you hostage and bundles you in the boot of the car for a high speed chase. “Lagos Creepers” comes on all Fela Kuti with crazy drums and awesome brass hooks making you want to kick a ball round on a hot dusty pitch till the sun goes down.
