Description:

The Chap had us bouncing and smiling all year; our saviours of modern pop.

Watch out for The Chap, they are the saviours of modern pop and will make you pee laughing whilst you pogo round the room singing songs about cloning. Well Done Europe is their fourth critically acclaimed album, following Mega-Breakfast, their lo-fi debut The Horse and critically acclaimed Ham. These resident Londoners (though they travel from far away, like erm Greece) have friends in ace places (they've worked with ESG, Animal Collective, Beck and Bloc Party lately) and one blast of their gloriously infectious energised glitch pop will tell you why. This is the sound of the search for a heart of gold in a world gone cold, the day after a late night with Sparks and ELO. From the primeval throb of Ethnic Instrument to the bouncily urgent anthemic plea on Fun and Interesting ("clone me another me!") , this is pop-disco-improv-rock for the future!
