The Shiffers is essentially the solo side project of Claudio Zanini the trumpet player in one of Italy’s most loved pop bands “Ridillo”.

The Shiffers move from Bossa Nova to Bacharach, from ’60’s Beat and Twist to Blue Note Jazz with a cheeky wink and a sharp suit. “Lotus Eaters” is a brilliantly building balearic beauty reminiscent of “Hey Jude”, I know it shouldn’t work, but it does! ”Che Gamba” is pure car-chase joy, round the alpine hair-pin bends in a convertible with real style, eventually the mysterious driver removes their hat and reveals their identity as Sofia Loren’s hair tumbles down!
