Description:

Energetic, free-spirited garage pop.

Texan sensations White Denim have been quite rightly hyped to kingdom come since they nailed it in style at 2008’s SXSW. Critically acclaimed debut album ''Workout Holiday’’ reached the lofty heights of number 4 in Rough Trade’s ''Best of 2008’’ as well as receiving a host of national press and radio attention.

''Workout Holiday’’ is a no-nonsense, angry yet joyful album of garage punk, happily sharing the racks with The Stooges, Royal Trux and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. “Shake Shake Shake”, with its superb display of call and response is the aural equivalent of running very fast down a hill, pogo-ing for a bit and then having a really good snog. “Let’s Talk About It” has an urgency that relishes in funk-induced power, like being stuck in a very small room with insanely loud antmusic drums and Jet vocals – you gotta rock.

Latest offering ''Fits’’ is a throbbing powerhouse of unstoppable positive energy much like their legendary live shows. The album is coherently incoherent with tracks ranging from the soft-hearted to the ferocious with barely a pause for breath in between. Pummelling single “I Start To Run” is a hectic mix of sixties garage, post-punk and rhythm and blues that makes you wanna dash through the city streets.
