Read Description:

Timeless folk songwriting, mostly powered by a voice and an acoustic guitar.

Pete Greenwood is a singer-songwriter hailing from Leeds via London, and is also a member of country rockers band “The Loose Salute”. His songwriting possesses a timeless feel, with his sound gaining comparisons to artists such as Nick Drake and Gram Parsons. Bob Dylan has also been a major influence on Greenwood, claiming he had played “Lady Lay” so many times it is now in his DNA.

“Sirens” is a strong debut, benefitting from catchy phrasing and strong imagery used throughout. Lush finger picked guitar melodies and brooding vocals are showcased on tracks such as “Any Given Day” creating a mellow mood. Track “Bats over Barstow” contains finger picked electric guitar melodies which sit in a faster paced Americana style.
