Read Description:

Genre-blending spacey '60s-style pop meets 21st-century lo-fi.

Toro Y Moi (a.k.a. Columbia, South Carolina’s Chaz Bundick) is a multi-cultural juggernaut gathering up the best musical elements from around the globe – R&B, Indie Rock, Electronic Dance and Psychedelica – and creating something-freaking-else! Over the course of his first groundbreaking full length “Causers of This”, Toro Y Moi turns the aforementioned musics upside-down with his innovative approach. Operating in the same area of spacey lo-fi lusciousness as Animal Collective, melodic ambient samples swirl around cleverly arranged pop-song structures.

And there's no stopping this 'chillwave' pioneer. Since his deubut release in 2010, Chaz has gone on to release another album plus a few EPs. But it's definitely quality as well as quantity here as this electronic wizzard keeps churning out original, exciting modern classics. Check out a selection of tracks from across his releases above.
