Read Description:

Sunny, psychedelic hip hop blended with mellow electronica.

Tobacco's tools are analogue synths, tape machines, and contorted chants from voices unknown. His music is a wash of melody and distortion over jagged beats incorporating hypnotic pop, gritty hip-hop and a night full of fevered dreams.

But you don’t need to be any sort of hip-hop aficionado to enjoy Tobacco’s mellow beats. His music buoys the spirit, braces the nerves, and encourages the mind to drift off into places far, far away. The sound is effortlessly smooth and charmingly lo-fi at the same time, blending Boards of Canada electronica with hissing boombox beats.

"Berries That Burn" is a track that starts on an astral hum before blasting off with dynamic drum patterns and pitchy sirens. "Constellation Dirtbike Head" hurls thrashing drums and A.D.D synths at you, while the tranquil vibe of "Hairy Candy" makes you want to kick back in the middle of summer with an ice-cold soda. “Yum Yum Cult” draws you into a subliminal state - like the moment between sleep and awake, and would be perfectly at home in a Michel Gondry film.
