Distinctive falsetto vocals, smooth electronics with hint of sex, sorry sax.
Scintillating smooth electronic pop as you’d expect from a member of Hot Chip. Like Hot Chip he keeps his love of 80’s pop firmly in the present. Reference points could include Chromeo, Hall & Oates, Empire Of The Sun and Billy Joel but Grovesnor has a style all his own and as with so much of the best pop music the sleek exterior hides a bruised heart full of pathos and wit. Known for his ‘I’m sure I’ve heard that before’ single ‘Nitemoves’ which opened Hot Chip’s DJ-Kicks compilation making FACT’s top 100 tunes and Mylo’s “soundtrack of the summer” in the Observer, he also released the Gallic smash ‘Drive Your Car’ on uber cool label Greco Roman. Distinctive falsetto vocals and smooth electronics make for a sexy listen, but with such strong instrumentation, the music stands up alone. So check out the instrumentals.

Grovesnor blends silky vocals with retro synth melodies, the ensuing mix is wholly distinctive. Rivmixx
