Wonderful wierded hip hop juxtapositioned with jazz.
‘’Common Ground’’ marks the moody birth of Mercury prized nominated Jazzists Polar Bear and Portugal-born rapper Jyager Maktwist. Their connection was made in cyberspace, constructed and then....BANG!...collaboration. It’s fast, slow, solid, hot and focused - It takes some of the original tracks from Polar Bears Debut Leaf Label, Peepers, using samples from a vinyl copy of the record to re-create, adding Jyager's vocals and production skills. ‘’Don‘t think I wont’’ is cleverly cut, and echoes the dirtiness of MJ ’s Dirty Diana. ‘’Fire it up’’ is perfectly panned to toy with your senses. Your mind will be lost into the industrially influenced sound which scratches the undercurrents of jazz/tribal/hip-hop proving all that glitters is glitched.
