Dark Dark Dark are a chamber folk band based in Minneapolis, melding the genres of New Orleans Jazz, European folk, and Americana with great success. Their music is dramatic and embodies a spectacular cinematic aura, due to the range of organic instrumentation which swirl throughout.. It is the vocals of Nona Marie Invie, which act as a focal point of Dark Dark Dark as they are rich in tone, and flow effortlessly, comparative to Regina Spektor or Florence and The Machine.
"In Your Dreams” is a track that bursts with colour and energy. The playful rhythm of the drumbeats entwined with the fluttering accordion melodies evokes a Parisian feel. "Nobody Knows" meanwhile contains a heartfelt mood, as the track begins with Invie's haunting vocals layered over delicate piano, the addition of beautiful vocal harmonies and brass heightens the emotion as the track moves forward.
