I know we’re not supposed to have favourites but if we WERE allowed Static Caravan would be our favourite label. Why? Because the label is all about care, impeccable personal taste and attention to details – things that have been lost in the “industry” of music. The majority of their releases are on 7” vinyl with hand made packaging and only available in runs of a few hundred which sell out as soon as they are released. When the releases a CD the packaging is the most beatiful packaging possible in that format. And the music? Just brilliant. Simple, evocative, intimate, expansive.

Quality, beauty, small amounts, limited editions, and a penchant for simple, unusual but accessible modern post folk and film soundtrack-esque music make this a delightful label to work with and listen to. They work with artists from the UK and overseas and many of the artists that start hear have gone on to bigger things, massive acclaim, but their humble beginnings at this lovely label (run since it’s inception 10 years ago and a labour of love by just one man – with a team of devoted sidekicks and collaborators - but nevertheless this is one man’s dream) are what turned us on to these great artists in the first place and we are delighted we can share that pleasure of discovery with you. Really - you heard them hear first.
